Whether it’s singing your heart out at karaoke nights, enjoying fantastic live entertainment, or splashing around with water aerobics in the pool, there’s never a dull moment! Come join us for festive holiday meals, dive into a new craft, or have a friendly game of cards with your neighbors. Activities

Gather with other residents for an evening of instructor led painting while sipping on your favorite drink.
Join the fierce competition of Val’s annual Chili Cook-Off.
Show off your cooking or baking skills at Val’s monthly Potlucks.
At Val’s, we love cake; we are prepared to celebrate all things: birthdays, anniversaries, and we even have celebrations to honor our furry friends.
During the winter season, we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas by sharing a meal in the Rec Hall. At Christmas, we have a white elephant gift exchange. We bring in the New Year with a big party in the Rec Hall.
From burgers and hot dogs poolside to a full Texas BBQ of pulled pork and brisket with all the trimmings, we have it all at Val’s.
The Rio Grande Valley is rich in culture. Group outings are arranged to go out to the community to experience the local agriculture on a farm tour, spend a day at Brownsville zoo, go on a Shrimp Boat Tour - shrimp boil included. Group meal outings planned.
The back room of the Rec Hall is dedicated to weekly card games and a community puzzle.
Gather with your neighbors, bring your beverage of choice, and a snack to share. Check the activity calendar for dates and location.
